The Miami Brain Symposium will focus on state-of-the-art approaches to the management of primary and metastatic central nervous systems tumors, along with an understanding of current standards of care and a look at future directions. Upon completion of this conference, participants should be better able to:
- Examine the role of novel bench-to-bedside investigations for treating glioblastoma by targeted androgen receptors and exploring glutaminase inhibitors.
- Recognize the advancements of implementing tumor treating fields for patients with brain metastasis.
- Evaluate novel systemic therapeutics for gliomas with preclinical and early clinical data, such as CAR T-cell therapies and other vaccine options.
- Understand the role of systemic therapies and craniospinal irradiation in treating leptomeningeal disease.
- Recognize the roles of surveillance, surgery, and stereotactic radiosurgery for patients with benign tumors, such as vestibular schwannomas and meningiomas.
